How Scouts Advance Ranks: Adventures
Learning by Doing
Kids work through a series of requirements called adventures. These are hands-on activities focused on things like outdoor skills, building crafts, practicing first aid, and playing team games.
Earning the Rank
As your child completes these adventures alongside their den, they earn belt loops or pins to show off their new skills. Once they complete the required adventures for their grade level, they are awarded that year’s rank.
What About Uniforms?
Your child does not need a uniform to visit a meeting or try out the Pack! When you are ready to officially join, we keep uniforms simple and practical. Lions (Kindergarten) wear a custom t-shirt, while older ranks wear the classic blue Cub Scout button-up.
All of that happens on an ordinary weeknight.
Almost all of it takes place during our two pack meetings each month.
